This is a documentation of day 5 of 39 (I update the morning after a day is complete)Friday, May 5, 2017 - Day 5OTF at 6:30 am and burned 892 calories. Now here's the thing: I don't work out in the mornings simply because I like my sleep. Case in point: class started at 6:30, my time to leave the house was 6:00, so I set the alarm for 5 am. I ended up waking up at 4:24 am because I was scared I'd over sleep!!!!! That part sucked but the workout was right up my alley. My break through happened after I realized that rowing is now a better warmup than the treadmill - probably because my fitness is higher. Then we got to some intervals and I was a happy big daddy!!!! They were basically power intervals - short intensity / short recovery - just what my body is designed for, I could have done those all day. In the evening I took Aliya to her birthday dinner at Epic Chop House and was worried about eating. I ended up having 12 oz Filet, some asparagus and ate some bread - turns out it wasn't hard at all.I had 4 meals each in the 480 calorie range.My last meal was at Epic and I figure it was close to 700 calories.For the day I burned 3,086 calories.I took in 2,514 calories.The net deficit was 573 calories.I slept 4:25I drank 147 oz of water.Bottom line - Today was a win.
