Gold Medal Body

Gold Medal Body

Most people I know think that I am a gifted genetic freak because the physical stuff that I can do. They have absolutely NO CLUE how hard I work on the basics.

At 50 I bought into the concept of movement being a Thing.

I joined a program online known as Gold Medal Body - gmb.io

Below is a value packed email they sent.

Enjoy :)

There are some truly crappy tutorials on the web. Go to YouTube and type in anything from "how to do a backflip" to "how to sand wood floors" to "how to build a computer," and you will find countless tutorials... most of them crap.

When we started making free tutorials approximately 74 years ago (okay, more like 9, but it feels way longer), we decided there were probably enough crappy tutorials out there, and maybe we should make ours better. It seems to have worked so far ;) We've got over 30 tutorials on our website, with countless more up on our YouTube channel, and we've tried to make each one as thorough and high quality as our paid programs.

It's hard to pick favorites, but luckily, you've done that for us! Here are some of the (non-crappy) tutorials people have loved the most over the years:

  • Pull-Up - This is a skill most people think they should be able to do, but few can. This tutorial will help you get your first (or tenth!) pull-up.

  • L-Sit - It's no secret how much we love L-Sits. Ryan has found some way to work them into almost all of our programs (someone has got to rein that guy in), but this tutorial is probably the best free guide to getting as much as possible from training this skill.

  • Muscle-Up - The muscle-up is obviously a more advanced skill, but our skip-the-kip method has helped hundreds of people get a smooth, strict muscle-up. And since a baby kitten dies every time someone kips, that means hundreds of kittens have been saved by our tutorial.

  • Handstand - I know we've shared this one fairly recently, but it's the tutorial most of us on team GMB are proudest to have made, and it is a consistent fan fave. There are lots of expensive handstand programs out there, but with the exception of in-person instruction, this tutorial beats them all. If you want to learn to do a handstand, this tutorial will help you get there.

  • Planche - For most people reading this (and, like, 99% of the world), a full planche might seem like the last thing you'd ever be able to do. But this tutorial breaks it down into bite-size pieces so you can build incredible upper body and core strength, even at the lowest progressions.

  • If there's another skill you're looking to learn, there's a good chance we've covered it. Search through the tutorials on our website, or peruse our YouTube channel, and you'll probably find what you're looking for.

Thanks for being part of the GMB Posse!
