A great friend of mine (Marc Middleton) did a radio interview on their show with a neurosurgeon named Dr. Eben Alexander. Not only was it a great interview he talked about his new book, so I bought it and am reading it right now.The interesting thing about this book is that this guy is a HARD CORE scientist who saw inexplicable things connecting science to spirituality. Normally those two things have no connection but Dr. Alexander takes you to a higher place. 3/4ths of the way through I'm finding that this is a mind opening book, I highly recommend it."Om understands and sympathizes with our human situation more profoundly and personally than we can even imagine because Om knows what we have forgotten, and understands the terrible burden it is to live with amnesia of the Divine for even a moment." Page 86 I think this is the reason I was always drawn to endurance sports and never had a run in with drugs or bad things, during a work out or racing my amnesia was temporarily gone. Same thing happens when I play with the kids, I mean really stop and just play - not teach, not show them anything - just play. Maybe it's all connected.
